Forever Team Cecy
A teacher. A coach. A heart that keeps inspiring us.
Remembering Cecy Martínez, and carrying her love for children, learning and the beautiful game into what comes next.

A teacher’s heart. A coach’s belief.
Cecy brought two important parts of her life together: teaching children and coaching soccer. She cared about making room for young people to learn, enjoy themselves and grow.
A mother, a partner, a teacher and a coach, she is remembered with love by her family and the community she helped shape. At Dream Elite, this space is for celebrating her life and the possibilities her memory continues to inspire.
“We are very passionate about working with children and soccer!”
A world of possibility.
Cecy taught first grade at Mary Casey Black Elementary. Her classroom photograph offers a beautiful companion to her soccer portrait: two places where she shared her time and energy with children.
These are the parts of her story we want to carry forward. A child’s curiosity. The joy of learning something new. The chance to keep going, in school and on the field.

Something bigger than soccer.
“The goal of Dream Elite was and has always been to be something bigger than just soccer training.”
In sharing his hopes for honoring Cecy, Jesús connected her memory to education and soccer, and to creating opportunities for young people. That is a meaningful part of the Dream Elite story.
More dreams. More open doors.
The Cecy Martinez Scholarship Fund brings education and soccer together in her memory. Revolution FC’s memorial tournament supports the fund, helping students from the community as they begin college.
A chance to learn. A chance to play. A chance to take the next step. What a lovely way for a community to remember someone who gave so much to its children.
Play with purpose.
The Cecy Martinez Memorial Tournament brings young players together in her honor. Explore the club’s official page for tournament information and its connection to the scholarship.

Love from her school.
In February 2023, Mary Casey Black’s students, families and staff came together for ‘Martinez Monday,’ sharing messages of love and support for Cecy.
A place in Brentwood’s story.
In June 2024, Brentwood’s City Council approved naming the championship field at Sand Creek Sports Complex in Cecy’s memory, recognizing her contribution to the community.
Forever part of our family
For every child with a dream.
With love, for Cecy.
We remember her. We celebrate her.
And we carry her memory forward, together.
